LAS VEGAS, March 18 (Xinhua) -- North America's largest construction trade show concluded here on Saturday after showcasing innovative products and trend of the machinery and construction industries.
Covering over 3 million square feet of exhibit space, the show, named CONEXPO-CON/AGG, drew over more than 2,400 exhibitors from 36 countries and regions, according to the organizer.
More than 139,000 construction and fluid power professionals from 133 countries and regions joined the trade show, held from Tuesday to Saturday.
"The innovations in the construction industry unveiled this week will play a role in helping construction professionals drive meaningful and sustainable economic growth," said Phil Kelliher, Caterpillar senior vice president and CONEXPO-CON/AGG show chair.
This year's show emphasized how the construction industry is evolving to adapt to sustainable technologies, products and practices, from electric and hydrogen powered construction equipment, to more recyclable materials and waste reduction opportunities.
Many well-known Chinese construction equipment companies attended the show, including Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG), Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd, Sany Group, and Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology.
